01The problem
Writing a personal-injury expert report takes three to ten hours. Every step of turning notes into text still lacks tooling.
Dictation goes out to external transcription: around 10% of the fee, 24 to 72 hours of waiting.
The text is then organised by hand along the AREDOC mission and the 27 heads of damage of the Dintilhac nomenclature, then formatted.
Existing tools do voice dictation or practice management. None covers the drafting of the report end to end.
02The method
GRÉMI installs as a desktop application and fits into the practice’s routine without changing how it works.
The PDFs of the mission letter, the medical records and imaging, and the physician’s clinical notes (.docx, .txt, .pdf, .rtf, .md).
Three-stage structuring, in the format of the AREDOC mission and the Dintilhac nomenclature. Patient identifiers are removed on the computer, before processing.
A formatted .docx report in the practice’s house style, kept in a re-exportable history. The physician reviews, adjusts, signs.
03Security & sovereignty
De-identification runs on the physician’s computer, before any structuring. Follow a case document through the pipeline.
Local de-identification of health information on the physician’s computer, then structuring by a language model.
A fully on-device deployment — an open model fine-tuned to run without any external service, already validated by comparative testing. Complete sovereignty over health data.
Targeted compliance: GDPR and the framework for documentation software. The tool assists with drafting and makes no diagnosis. No cookies, no trackers on this site.
04The founder
Dr Handsun Xiao is a physician, a graduate of McGill University (MD) and certified by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP). He completed the Université de Montréal graduate microprogram in health-science expert assessment: disability, rating scales, personal-injury compensation, expert-witness law.
A practising medical expert, he has written more than 200 reports, notably within ExamWorks, the world’s largest independent medical evaluation group. GRÉMI was born of that practice: facing three to ten hours of drafting per report, he combined his medico-legal expertise with a command of language models to automate the writing.
